Thomas Sperry, MD, is a cardiologist who specializes in hypertension management. He is proud to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to adults and teens at HeartPlace in Arlington, Texas. Dr. Sperry is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine and specializes in hypertension, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography.
He began his career pursuits at the University of Texas in Austin, where he earned his undergraduate degree in neurobiology. The following year, Dr. Sperry enrolled at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he earned his medical degree.
Before joining the team at HeartPlace, Dr. Sperry completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Sperry holds hospital privileges at Texas Health Arlington Memorial and Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital Arlington.
When Dr. Sperry isn’t meeting with patients or developing custom treatment plans, he is very active and enjoys spending time with his family and dogs (a Beagle mix and a Border Collie mix). Dr. Sperry also enjoys ice hockey, gardening, college football, fishing, and scuba diving.
