Dr. Obadah Aqtash, MD, is a board certified interventional and structural cardiologist with board certifications in internal medicine, general cardiology, interventional cardiology, echocardiography, cardiovascular computed tomography, and registered physician vascular interpretation.
Dr. Aqtash earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan. He completed his internal medicine training, including his chief residency year, at Marshall University in West Virginia. Dr. Aqtash then pursued his general cardiology training at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio.
Following this, he completed specialized training in interventional cardiology and mechanical circulatory support at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He further enhanced his expertise with structural cardiology training at The Heart Hospital Plano.
Passionate about delivering state-of-the-art care, Dr. Aqtash integrates cutting-edge technologies to enhance patient outcomes. His expertise includes transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVRs), mitral clips, tricuspid valve interventions, valve-in-valve procedures left atrial appendage closure (Watchman/Amulets), patent foramen ovale closure, and interventions for atrial and ventricular septal defects. He also specializes in complex coronary interventions, including chronic total occlusions (CTOs) as well as mechanical circulatory support.
Dedicated to advancing the field of cardiology, Dr. Aqtash actively contributes to research and has published extensively in reputable medical journals. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
