Dr. Hirak Sen MD FACC has recently joined the USHV/ HeartPlace team in Tarrant County. He is currently triple board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Internal Medicine.
He brings more than 20 years of busy clinical experience in the treatment of heart rhythm disorders. He has a special interest and expertise in the catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, complex device implantation and lead extraction.
His guiding principle is to provide compassionate, high quality and evidence based care to his patients.
He has received many accolades of clinical excellence and has ranked in the top 95th percentile among all cardiovascular specialists per Healthgrades in 2023.
He received his basic medical degree in India and obtained further training in hospitals in the UK and arrived in the US in 1993 for advanced training at Beth Israel Medical Center in the heart of New York City. Electrophysiology training was completed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the world renowned program headed by Professor Masood Akhtar, one of the most prominent educators in the field.
Dr. Sen is married and his wife is also a physician. When not working, Dr. Sen is interested in volunteering in his community, hiking the riverside trails and does a lot of reading about current affairs, economics of healthcare and the history of the Second World War
