Rikesh Patel, MD, FACC, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist. He sees patients at the Plano, Texas, office of HeartPlace. He is board certified in cardiovascular diseases, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine. He is also an endovascular specialist.
Dr. Patel completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He then attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, located in Houston, Texas. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Columbia University Medical Center, New York, located in New York City. He rounded out his training with fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center and Mount Sinai Heart in New York City,
After growing up in Midland, Texas, and training out of state, Dr. Patel is happy to settle back in his home state to provide advanced, comprehensive cardiovascular patient care to Plano and the surrounding community. Dr. Patel seeks to provide individualized, thoughtful, and evidence-based care.
The son of a respected interventional cardiologist, he is committed to continuing his father's legacy of providing outstanding and compassionate care to his patients. He speaks English, Spanish, and Gujarati. Dr. Patel serves as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Medical City Plano.
