Timothy Dao, MD, FACC, holds board certifications in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine. He also serves as the director of the pulmonary embolism response program at HeartPlace in Plano, Texas.
Dr. Dao is a native of Kentucky and earned his undergraduate degree at Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, Missouri. He continued on to receive his medical degree at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by fellowships at The University of Texas Health Center in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
His professional associations include the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, American Medical Student Association, and American Medical Association.
Dr. Dao has numerous published articles and poster presentations covering a wide range of topics, and he’s fluent in both English and Vietnamese.
