Dr. Amin earned his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, graduating summa cum laude. He received his medical degree from Texas A&M University College of Medicine in Bryan, Texas, in 2004. He then completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Afterward, he completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease at the University of Florida in Jacksonville and cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. 

Throughout his career, Dr. Amin has published many medical articles. He is affiliated with Methodist Dallas Medical Center, Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital Arlington, Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South, and USMD Hospital at Arlington.
